Black Cherry Jelly

This tree can be found all over Belize and when it is producing, you definitely do not want to have your vehicle parked under it. Normally it is made into wine, but it is incredible good to be eaten as a jelly. Also called, Black Berry Jelly.

Golden Plum Jelly

This fruit is also called June Plum in the Caribbean. The children of Belize love to eat it green with salt and black pepper or salt with little bits of habanero peppers. No matter, it sure makes a wonderful jelly.

Huckleberry Jelly

My first experience with this fruit was not a pleasant one. Saw it in the grocery store and bit into one to taste. I could not find a trash can fast enough. It was quite a while later, when it was properly introduced to me, that I was convinced that it would make a great jelly. After my first cooking, I am very glad that I gave it a second chance.
